Rehearsals
We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at:
St Stephen’s Church Hall,
48 Emperor’s Gate,
London
SW7 4HJ.
The nearest tube station is Gloucester Road, which is less than five minutes walk away.
Rehearsals start at 6:45pm and finish at 9:15pm, and include a break with the opportunity to get to know other members over a slice of cake!
Auditions
We know auditions can be somewhat nerve-wracking, however we do everything we can to put you at ease and make the process enjoyable.
Auditions consist of some scales to warm you up and confirm your vocal range, the singing of a short piece you have prepared, and there will be some exercises to assess your sight reading and aural ability. They typically take no longer than 5 minutes.
Membership fees
We want singing with The London Chorus to be as accessible as possible — which is why all new members sing their first term completely free.
Annual membership is £324, which works out at just over £8 per week across 40 weeks of Tuesday evening rehearsals. That includes multiple concert performances throughout the year and an end-of-year social — a full season of music-making at the heart of one of London’s longest-standing choral traditions.
For members aged 30 and under, membership is just £50 for the year — our commitment to nurturing the next generation of choral singers.
