London Chorus members were delighted to welcome our new Choral Scholars who joined us on 8 September for the 2026–27 season: Sophie (soprano), Eva (alto), Naveen (tenor) and Eoin (bass).
Pictured here with our Musical Director, Will Vann, the four scholars are already three weeks into rehearsals for Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, the first major work of our new season.
This is a particularly special year for The London Chorus as we launch our Ronald Corp Choral Scholarship Programme, established in memory of our late Musical Director, Ronald Corp OBE, who died in May 2025.
Ron was passionate about encouraging young musicians and nurturing the next generation of singers. The scholarship programme provides four young choral singers with the opportunity to develop their musical and leadership skills while gaining experience of performing major choral repertoire with The London Chorus, professional soloists and orchestras.
Over the course of the season, Sophie, Eva, Naveen and Eoin will sing with the choir at some of London’s leading concert venues and become an integral part of our musical life. We are thrilled to welcome them to TLC and look forward to following their progress throughout this first season of the scholarship programme.
